To investigate the therapeutic effect of tiotropium bromide(136310-93-5) combined with nocturnal oxygen therapy on nocturnal sleep hypoxia in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and to evaluate the effect of tiotropium bromide on nocturnal sleep hypoxia. Methods: Forty patients with moderate to severe COPD who had nocturnal sleep hypoxia were randomly divided into two groups. The observation group (20 cases) was given tiotropium bromide (18μg, 1 day afternoon) combined with nocturnal oxygen therapy (2L / Min), the control group (20 cases) given simple nighttime oxygen therapy (2L / min), respectively, before treatment and 4 weeks after treatment to detect nighttime sleep oxygen saturation, blood gas analysis, lung function. 

RESULTS: Compared with the control group, the mean oxygen saturation (NocturnalmeaSaO2, MSaO2), nocturnalminimumSaO2, MmSaO2, Arterial blood pressure (PaO2), arterial blood (Percentage of FEV1% Pred), Forced vialcapacity (FVC), deep inspiratory volume (FE), FEV1, FEV1, FEV1, FEV1% (P <0.05). The percentage of FEV1, FEV1% Pred, FVC, IC, PEF% Pred in the control group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P <0.05), and the peak rate of respiration rate was significantly higher than that of the control group (P <0.05) (T90) in the two groups was significantly lower than that in the control group (P <0.05). The blood pressure (BCO) of the two groups was significantly lower than that of the control group (P <0.05) According to the group PaCO2 was significantly increased. Compared with the control group, the levels of MSaO2, MmSaO2, PaO2 and SaO2 were significantly increased, T90 and PaCO2 were significantly decreased, FEV1, FEV1% Pred, FVC, IC and PEF% Pred were significantly improved. Conclusion: Tiotropium bromide(136310-93-5) combined with nocturnal oxygen therapy can significantly improve COPD nocturnal sleep hypoxia, and better than nocturnal oxygen therapy; tiotropium bromide(136310-93-5) can also improve COPD nighttime sleep hypoxia.
