Tiotropium bromide(136310-93-5) is a new class of long-acting anticholinergic bronchodilators for the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), requiring only one dose per day for inhalation. Clinical studies have shown that tiotropium can significantly improve lung function, reduce the acute onset of COPD, and reduce the acute onset of COPD compared with the clinical first-line anticholinergic ipratropium bromide and beta2 receptor agonist salmeterol and placebo Greatly improve the quality of life. The drug is well tolerated, dry mouth is its main side effects.

To evaluate the efficacy and safety of tiotropium bromide(136310-93-5) in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Methods: Twenty-six patients with COPD were treated with tiotropium bromide (20 cases) and ipratropium bromide (20 cases) for 4 weeks by randomized, double-blind, parallel-controlled method. FEV1 and forced vital capacity (FVC) were significantly increased in the tiotropium group (P <0.01). At 4 weeks, the increase of FEV1 was higher than that of ipratropium bromide (P <0.05). There was no significant difference between the two groups in the application of emergency drugs and the incidence of adverse drug reactions (P <0.05). Conclusion: Tiotropium bromide(136310-93-5) is an effective and safe bronchodilator in the treatment of patients with COPD. The effect is remarkable and safe and reliable.
