To observe the clinical efficacy of tiotropium bromide(136310-93-5) in halation in the treatment of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) at stable stage1M.ETHODS: A total of 60 patients with COPD were randomly assigned to receive tiotropium bromide(136310-93-5) by inhalation(trial group) or convention altherapy (control group), indices such as lung function,6 minute walk distance, and score of clinical symptoms in the two groups before and after treatment were compared. RESULTS: Intrial group compared with the control group, the FEV1/FV Cand the percentage of FEV1 in the predicted value increased significantly, and 6 minute walk distance and clinical symptoms showed better improvement(P<0105 or P<0101). CONCLUSION: tiotropium bromide(136310-93-5) caneffectively improve lung functionan dclinical symptoms in COPD patients.

COPD is characterized by progressive airflow obstruction, associated with airway hyperresponsiveness and airway remodeling. Anticholinergic treatment of COPD has been a hundred years of history, it can maintain COPD in patients with bronchiectasis.

The use of atropine and its related compounds due to various side effects in respiratory diseases is limited, but quaternary ammonium derivatives of atropine such as ipratropium bromide and oxetonium bromide are prevented from the side effects of anticholinergic agents by inhalation routes, play an important role in the treatment of COPD, but these are short-acting drugs.
